The lineage
The jiu-jitsu taught on this mat travelled a long way to reach Kendall. Here is the road it took.
Born into the Gracie family and raised around Hélio, Rolls, Carlson and Carlos Gracie Jr. Black belt in 1996, shortly after winning the IBJJF World Championship absolute division as a brown belt.
Ariel's first mats, under Professor Mauro Sergio. He went on to become a multiple-time Costa Rican jiu-jitsu champion.
Training under Daniel Gracie and the Renzo Gracie Team, Ariel refined the pressure-based, submission-driven style he is known for, then led over 700 students as Head Coach at Renzo Gracie Brooklyn.
His own academy in Kendall: a space for beginners, competitors, and families to train hard, stay humble, and grow together.
